WINDSURFING

Atlantic breezes are a windsurfers’ dream in many of Algarve’s beautiful beaches. Amongst them, "Meia Praia" beach with a stretch of approximately 5 kilometers (3.11 miles) of fine sand, located in the Lagos area, is considered to be one of the best in the region.

"Amado", "Carrapateira", "Zavial" and "Martinhal" beaches are also renowned for this activity.

Windsurf rental stands are available at Praia da Luz, mostly during summer time. Experienced windsurfers have access to rental equipment and newcomers can also sign up for lessons.
