SURFING

Portugal has the best warm surfing in Europe with over 800km (500miles) of waves and no shortage of sunshine. The surf here is among the best in Europe, consistent and un-crowded in most places.

Some locals like to surf at Praia da Luz, towards the eastern side of the beach near the “Rocha Negra” (Black Rock), even if the waves are fairly small.
